101, or at Robert Fraser's, or
someone else's flat where the scene was going on. Later,
Donovan and Stash
were also very friendly with the group. They all helped each other out when
Sgt Norman Pilcher ("Semolina Pilchard") began his anti-musician drug
crusade. At least one of the band visited
Pont Street, Joe's account of which is
included in the book.

Burroughs, Gysin and friends lived in Paul McCartney's flat for a time in
