The Rose Cross, as an esoteric organization, attempts to guard
the ancient knowledge by prohibiting its dissemination outside the
Order. They hope by means of this cautious attitude to
discourage the merely curious, and concentrate on the genuine,
earnest seeker, because the knowledge is powerful, and can be
dangerous if used carelessly.
This is not to say that those who have studied and acquired some
knowledge of the true nature of the universe ought to keep this
knowledge locked away in their heads and gloat! Knowledge on
its own is no better than ignorance. Knowledge plus application
gives wisdom.
The only point of having such knowledge is to use it lovingly in the
service of others.
In this way, it is possible to heal by demonstrating to others the
powers they already possess.
